Terms of Use
Last updated July 12, 2026.
Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Use (the “terms”) govern your use of the Go Time application for iOS (the “app”), made by Rainpeak Signals Inc. (“Rainpeak,” “we,” “us”), a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Licence and Apple Standard EULA
The app is licensed, not sold, to you. Your licence to use the app is also governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Apple’s Standard EULA) and the App Store Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. In the event of any conflict between these terms and Apple’s Standard EULA regarding the licence to use the app, Apple’s Standard EULA governs that licence. Your licence is personal and non-transferable, applies to Apple-branded devices that you own or control, and may be used by other members of your household as permitted by Apple’s Family Sharing rules.
Free and Pro features
Go Time is free to download and includes a set of free features that turn your calendar events into real, system-level alarms. The app also offers Go Time Pro, an optional paid tier that unlocks additional features. The features included in the free app and in Go Time Pro are described on the App Store product page, and the price is shown in the App Store at the time of purchase. We may change which features are free or Pro over time; any such change takes effect for use going forward.
Subscriptions and seven-day free trial
Go Time Pro is an auto-renewing subscription offered at $1.99 per month or $9.99 per year, with a seven-day free trial for eligible users. Unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial or current billing period ends, the subscription renews automatically. Apple processes payment, charges the Apple Account within 24 hours before renewal, and handles cancellation and refund requests.
- Managing your subscription. You can view, change, or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple Account’s subscription settings on your device. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the current paid period.
- Free trial. If you are eligible for the seven-day free trial, any unused portion is forfeited if you buy a subscription during the trial. Eligibility for a trial is determined by Apple.
- Refunds. Because Apple is the merchant of record, all billing, cancellation, and refund requests are handled by Apple, not by us. You can request a refund through reportaproblem.apple.com under Apple’s terms. Prices may vary by region and may change; you will be shown the current price in the App Store before you purchase.
Alarm and calendar permissions
To do its job, Go Time asks for permission to read your calendar (through Apple’s EventKit) and to schedule alarms (through Apple’s AlarmKit). These permissions are used solely on your device to decide when to alert you. You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app. If you deny or later revoke calendar or alarm access, Go Time cannot read your events or fire alarms, and its core features will not work.
Alarm reliability
Go Time is a helpful aid, not a guaranteed alerting system. Alarm delivery depends on iOS, AlarmKit, calendar data, permissions, and the device’s state. Do not rely on Go Time as the sole reminder for time-critical, safety-critical, medical, or otherwise important events.
Privacy
Your calendar data and app activity stay on your device. Go Time has no account, no tracking, and no advertising; the only information that ever leaves your device is feedback you explicitly choose to send. How we handle data is described in full in the Go Time Privacy Policy, which forms part of your agreement with us.
Acceptable use
Go Time is a personal utility for turning your own calendar events into alarms. You agree to use it lawfully and not to misuse it — for example, by attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app except to the limited extent that applicable law or Apple’s terms expressly permit; by redistributing or reselling it; or by using it in any way that infringes the rights of others. You are responsible for your own calendar data and for the events you choose to track.
Intellectual property
The app — including its software, design, layout, graphics, and the “Go Time” and Rainpeak Signals names and marks — is owned by Rainpeak Signals Inc. or used with permission, and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms grant you a licence to use the app; they do not transfer any ownership to you. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Third-party services
When you use the app, you must also comply with any applicable third-party terms — most notably Apple’s App Store Terms and Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, which govern your use of the App Store and any subscription. Payment, subscription management, and refunds are handled by Apple and governed by Apple’s terms and Apple’s Privacy Policy, not by us.
No warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that alarms will always fire, or that it will be compatible with every device or system configuration. Some warranties cannot be excluded under the law of British Columbia and other applicable consumer-protection law; nothing in these terms limits or excludes any rights you have that cannot be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rainpeak Signals will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or missed events, arising out of or related to your use of — or inability to use — the app, including any failure of an alarm to fire. To the extent any liability cannot be excluded but may be limited, our total liability arising out of or relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for the app or Go Time Pro (if any) in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including non-excludable rights under British Columbia and Canadian consumer-protection law.
Changes
We may update the app and these terms from time to time — for example, to reflect new features or legal requirements. When we change these terms, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the app after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms, so please check back occasionally.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to any non-excludable rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law, you agree that the courts located in British Columbia, Canada, will have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the app.
