Terms of Use

Last updated August 24, 2026.

Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Use (the “terms”) govern your use of the Go Time application for iOS (the “app”), made by Rainpeak Signals Inc. (“Rainpeak,” “we,” “us”), a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Licence and Apple Standard EULA

The app is licensed, not sold, to you. Your licence to use the app is also governed by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (Apple’s Standard EULA) and the App Store Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. In the event of any conflict between these terms and Apple’s Standard EULA regarding the licence to use the app, Apple’s Standard EULA governs that licence. Your licence is personal and non-transferable, applies to Apple-branded devices that you own or control, and may be used by other members of your household as permitted by Apple’s Family Sharing rules.

Free and Pro features

Go Time is free to download and includes a set of free features that turn your calendar events into real, system-level alarms. The app also offers Go Time Pro, an optional paid tier that unlocks additional features. Pro can be unlocked either with an auto-renewing subscription or with a one-time Lifetime licence; both are described below. The features included in the free app and in Go Time Pro are described on the App Store product page, and the price is shown in the App Store at the time of purchase. We may change which features are free or Pro over time; any such change takes effect for use going forward, subject to the Lifetime licence section below.

Subscriptions and seven-day free trial

Go Time Pro is also offered as an auto-renewing subscription at $1.99 per month or $9.99 per year, with a seven-day free trial for eligible users. This section applies to those subscriptions only; the Lifetime licence is covered in the next section. Unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the trial or current billing period ends, the subscription renews automatically. Apple processes payment, charges the Apple Account within 24 hours before renewal, and handles cancellation and refund requests.

  • Managing your subscription. You can view, change, or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple Account’s subscription settings on your device. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues until the end of the current paid period.
  • Free trial. If you are eligible for the seven-day free trial, any unused portion is forfeited if you buy a subscription during the trial. Eligibility for a trial is determined by Apple.
  • Refunds. Because Apple is the merchant of record, all billing, cancellation, and refund requests are handled by Apple, not by us. You can request a refund through reportaproblem.apple.com under Apple’s terms. Prices may vary by region and may change; you will be shown the current price in the App Store before you purchase.

Lifetime licence

As an alternative to a subscription, Go Time Pro can also be unlocked with a one-time purchase called the Lifetime licence, sold through the App Store as a non-consumable in-app purchase. This section applies only to that purchase. The price is shown in the App Store before you buy, may vary by region, and may change.

  • What’s included. The Lifetime licence unlocks every Go Time Pro feature available at the time of purchase, and every Pro feature we add in future updates, at no additional charge. There is no recurring charge, nothing renews, and there is nothing to cancel.
  • What “lifetime” means. Lifetime refers to the lifetime of the product, not to your lifetime. It means for as long as Rainpeak Signals Inc. continues to publish and support Go Time on the App Store. It is not a promise that Go Time will be published or supported for any particular length of time.
  • Features can change. The licence gives you access to Go Time Pro as it exists from time to time. Features may be added, changed, or removed as the app evolves, as Apple changes iOS, or as third-party services change, and we do not commit to keeping any specific feature available. If we restructure, rename, or replace the Pro tier, your Lifetime licence carries over to the tier that replaces it: we will not move Pro features into a new paid tier in order to charge you again for what you have already bought.
  • Features with ongoing costs. A small number of future features may cost us money to run for every person who uses them — for example server-side processing, third-party AI, or a paid API. Features like these may be offered as a separate optional purchase or subscription and are not included in the Lifetime licence. Everything we can deliver without an ongoing per-person cost is included.
  • Apple and your device. Apple distributes the app, so its availability depends on Apple’s continued approval and on App Store policy; Apple may remove the app or change its rules for reasons outside our control. Go Time also relies on iOS capabilities including EventKit and AlarmKit, and future versions of iOS may change or remove them. We cannot guarantee that Go Time will keep working on future releases of iOS or on any particular device.
  • If we discontinue Go Time. We may stop developing, updating, or distributing Go Time at any time. If we do, we will make a reasonable effort to give advance notice on rainpeaksignals.com, in the app, or both, and any copy you have already installed will keep working for as long as your device and your version of iOS allow — a period we cannot control or guarantee. A Lifetime licence is not refundable if we discontinue the app: it pays for access to Go Time as published, not for a commitment to future development.
  • One Apple Account. The Lifetime licence is tied to the Apple Account used to buy it. Use Restore Purchases to re-enable it after reinstalling or moving to a new device, signed in with that same Apple Account. The Lifetime licence is personal and non-transferable; it cannot be sold, assigned, or transferred to another person or account.
  • Refunds. Apple is the merchant of record and handles all billing and refunds; we cannot issue them ourselves. Refund requests go through reportaproblem.apple.com and are subject to Apple’s policies and time limits.
  • Price and availability. We may change the price of the Lifetime licence, and we may stop offering it altogether. Changes are not retroactive: you will not be charged more, and you will not receive a rebate if the price falls. Withdrawing the Lifetime licence from sale does not affect licences already purchased.
  • Termination for misuse. If you materially breach the acceptable-use section below, we may terminate your licence without a refund.

Alarm and calendar permissions

To do its job, Go Time asks for permission to read your calendar (through Apple’s EventKit) and to schedule alarms (through Apple’s AlarmKit). These permissions are used solely on your device to decide when to alert you. You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app. If you deny or later revoke calendar or alarm access, Go Time cannot read your events or fire alarms, and its core features will not work.

Alarm reliability

Go Time is a helpful aid, not a guaranteed alerting system. Alarm delivery depends on iOS, AlarmKit, calendar data, permissions, and the device’s state. Do not rely on Go Time as the sole reminder for time-critical, safety-critical, medical, or otherwise important events.

Privacy

Your calendar data and app activity stay on your device. Go Time has no account, no tracking, and no advertising; the only information that ever leaves your device is feedback you explicitly choose to send. How we handle data is described in full in the Go Time Privacy Policy, which forms part of your agreement with us.

Acceptable use

Go Time is a personal utility for turning your own calendar events into alarms. You agree to use it lawfully and not to misuse it — for example, by attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app except to the limited extent that applicable law or Apple’s terms expressly permit; by redistributing or reselling it; or by using it in any way that infringes the rights of others. You are responsible for your own calendar data and for the events you choose to track.

Intellectual property

The app — including its software, design, layout, graphics, and the “Go Time” and Rainpeak Signals names and marks — is owned by Rainpeak Signals Inc. or used with permission, and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms grant you a licence to use the app; they do not transfer any ownership to you. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Third-party services

When you use the app, you must also comply with any applicable third-party terms — most notably Apple’s App Store Terms and Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, which govern your use of the App Store and any subscription or in-app purchase. Payment, subscription management, and refunds are handled by Apple and governed by Apple’s terms and Apple’s Privacy Policy, not by us.

No warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that alarms will always fire, or that it will be compatible with every device or system configuration. Some warranties cannot be excluded under the law of British Columbia and other applicable consumer-protection law; nothing in these terms limits or excludes any rights you have that cannot be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rainpeak Signals will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or missed events, arising out of or related to your use of — or inability to use — the app, including any failure of an alarm to fire. To the extent any liability cannot be excluded but may be limited, our total liability arising out of or relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for the app or Go Time Pro, if any: for a subscription, the amount paid in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim; and for a one-time purchase such as the Lifetime licence, the amount you paid for that purchase, whenever you paid it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including non-excludable rights under British Columbia and Canadian consumer-protection law.

Changes

We may update the app and these terms from time to time — for example, to reflect new features or legal requirements. When we change these terms, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the app after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms, so please check back occasionally. A change to these terms will not reduce the rights of a Lifetime licence holder in respect of a licence already purchased.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these terms, or any licence granted under them, to anyone else. We may assign these terms, and the obligations we owe you under them — including under any Lifetime licence — to another party in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, or sale of Go Time or of our business. If we do, those obligations transfer with the app and continue on the same terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to any non-excludable rights you have under applicable consumer-protection law, you agree that the courts located in British Columbia, Canada, will have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the app.
