Privacy Policy

Overview
Rainpeak Signals is an independent software studio based in Vancouver, BC, Canada. This policy explains what information we collect — and, more to the point, how little of it — when you visit rainpeaksignals.com. This website is a static marketing site. It exists to tell you about the studio and its products; it is not an application that holds your account or your data.
We have written this in plain language on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email us at hello@rainpeaksignals.com and we will explain.
Information we collect
Essentially none, automatically. Because this is a static site, we do not run server-side forms, accounts, or databases that capture your activity. In normal browsing we do not ask you for personal information and we do not build a profile of you.
- If you email us — at hello@rainpeaksignals.com or through the contact page — we receive whatever you choose to put in that message (your name, your email address, and the contents of your note) so that we can reply. The contact form does not send anything to a server: it simply composes a draft email in your own mail client, which you then send yourself.
- Standard web logs — our hosting provider may keep routine technical logs (such as IP addresses and request times) for security and to keep the site running, as is standard for any website. We do not use these to identify or track individuals.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Cookies & analytics
As of the date above, this site sets no tracking cookies and runs no third-party analytics, advertising, or social-media tracking scripts. We do not need them to publish a few pages about what we build.
If we ever add privacy-respecting analytics or any cookie in the future, we will update this policy first and describe what is collected and why.
Third-party properties
EstateConnect.ca and FairSeverance.ca are separate products with their own websites and their own privacy practices. When you leave this site and visit one of them, the privacy policy posted on that property — not this one — governs your visit. The same is true of any other external link we point to.
- EstateConnect.ca — matches Ontario individuals with vetted estate lawyers.
- FairSeverance.ca — matches laid-off Greater Toronto Area employees with employment lawyers.
We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of websites we do not operate.
Data retention
Because the site collects essentially nothing, there is little to retain. If you email us, we keep that correspondence only for as long as needed to answer you and to maintain a reasonable record of our communications, after which we delete it. Routine hosting logs are kept for short, standard periods by our provider.
Your rights
We aim to handle any personal information you do send us in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (BC PIPA). Subject to those laws, you may ask us to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- correct it if it is inaccurate; or
- delete it, where we are not otherwise required to keep it.

Children’s privacy
This site is intended for a general, adult business audience. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if we add a feature that changes what we collect. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here; please check back occasionally.
